The Terrarium movement is in full swing

The nights are getting lighter, the days longer and the temperature is inching up just enough for us all to ‘think’ about throwing our hats and gloves in the back of the wardrobe for another year but most importantly the plant world is stirring and getting ready to blossom and bloom its way out of a very soggy, dark winter – fellow Botanists and green fingered folk, it’s time to get those creative juices flowing![...]

Wow what an amazing start to 2015!!!

Wow what an amazing start to 2015!!!

It has been so crazy we are not sure where to start! Firstly, we must say a huge thank you to all you green fingered folk who bought so many of our terrariums for Christmas Gifts!! We received so much fantastic feedback on our products, which was much appreciated! In early January we were selected as finalists for 2015 Luxury/ Premium Gift of the Year!! Our new Supersize Aztec Gem is the winning ticket apparently! A fantastic accolade we are very proud of. We are also being headed up by one of the UK’s top 10 Female Entrepreneurs to watch in 2015 according to the Daily Telegraph!! Well done Lucy Serafi – keep up the hard work. [...]

Spring has well and truly arrived

Spring has well and truly arrived

Spring has well and truly arrived, all be it in its typically English way, in fits and starts, scorchers and frosts and definitely budding and blossoms! The time of year has come yet again to pull out your most floral of attire, practice your royal greeting (on the off chance you may catch a glimpse of the Queen herself) and pay homage to the institution that is Alan Titchmarsh- it’s the gardening equivalent of the Oscars – Chelsea Flower Show!! If that’s not enough to get excited about; the fact that we are going to be there is simply amazing! It’s rare to be given the opportunity to be surrounded by people who are as interested in plants and flowers as we are in such a celebration of creativity and design. It has been an incredible start to the year for the Urban Botanist and with new products, new shows and so many different people showing an interest in our work we simply can’t wait to get going and meet all you members of the public at Chelsea!!! Here’s to Pimm’s, Panama hats and of course mind blowing gardens and plants to be seen in SW3 in a couple of weeks!!! If you haven’t got tickets yet then make sure you get on to http://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/rhs-chelsea-flower-show now and come on down! Can’t wait to show everyone the pictures and people that we meet down there!! Come find us and say hello![...]
